How to use
Swipe a layer onto your nose, cheekbones and the tops of your ears before you head out, then smooth the edges with a fingertip so it blends in.
Reapply at least every 2 hours, and straight after swimming, towelling or sweating. Avoid the eye area.
For adults and children over 6 months.

How to use it

Tinted zinc works best on the spots that burn first.

Step 1: Swipe it on
Swipe a layer onto your nose, cheekbones and the tops of your ears, plus anywhere else that catches the sun.

Step 2: Blend it in
Smooth the edges with a fingertip so it blends with your skin. Keep a good layer on: it's your sun protection.

Step 3: Top it up
Reapply at least every 2 hours, and straight after swimming, towelling or sweating.
Tip
Between shades? Try both. Blend a little Light and Medium together to match your skin as your tan changes. Two sticks save 10%.

Medium skin tone stick questions
Which shade should I choose?
Medium Skin Tone is tinted for medium skin tones, including olive and tan skin. If you have fair or light skin, choose Light Skin Tone. Between the two? Get both: they blend together, and two sticks save 10%.
Will it leave a white cast?
It's tinted, so it blends in rather than sitting white on your skin like our original stick. Apply a good layer and smooth the edges with a fingertip.
Can I use it as a concealer?
Yes. The tint gives light coverage over blemishes and uneven tone. It's still a sunscreen first, so keep a good layer on and reapply at least every 2 hours.
Is it waterproof?
No sunscreen is waterproof. It's 4 hours water resistant. Reapply straight after swimming, towelling or sweating, and at least every 2 hours.
Is it mineral only?
No. It combines zinc oxide with three other UV filters: octocrylene, diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate and ethylhexyl triazone. If you want mineral only, choose Pure Zinc SPF 50, which uses 25% non-nano zinc oxide.
Is it reef safe?
It contains no oxybenzone or octinoxate, but because it uses other UV filters as well as zinc, we don't call it reef safe. Our Pure Zinc range, which uses only non-nano zinc oxide, is our reef safe choice.
Can kids use it?
Yes, from 6 months old. Keep babies under 6 months out of direct sun. Kids often prefer our colour sticks, and they count towards your mix & match saving.
What gives it its colour?
Iron oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492 and CI 77499), the mineral pigments used in a lot of make-up.
Does it contain fragrance or parabens?
There's no fragrance (parfum) in the ingredient list, and it's paraben free. You'll find the full list under Full ingredients, near the top of this page.
Where is it made?
In Australia. Sun Zapper started on the Aussie coast in 1995 and still makes its zinc sticks there.
