How to use

Apply generously to dry skin before you go out. Warm a little between your fingertips first: it's a thick, zinc-rich cream and spreads more easily when warm. Keep rubbing until it blends in.

Reapply at least every 2 hours, and straight after swimming, towelling or sweating. Avoid the eye area.

For adults and children over 6 months. Keep babies under 6 months out of direct sun.

Non-comedogenic sunscreen questions

What does non-comedogenic mean?

It's made not to block pores, which can lead to spots. That matters if your skin breaks out easily.

Can I use it with retinol or acne treatments?

Yes. Retinoids, AHAs and BHAs can make skin more sensitive to the sun, so daily SPF is especially important. Apply it as the last step of your morning skincare. If you're on prescription treatment, follow your doctor's advice.

Will it leave a white cast?

Warm a little between your fingertips before applying and keep rubbing: mineral iron oxides help it blend in clear.

Can I wear it under make-up?

Yes. Let it set for a few minutes first. For a light tint, try Tinted Face SPF 30.

Is it fragrance free?

Yes, with no fragrance and no parabens.

How do I take it off?

Use an oil or balm cleanser to break down the zinc, then wash with your usual cleanser.

Is it reef safe?

Its only UV filter is non-nano zinc oxide, with no oxybenzone or octinoxate, so we call it reef safe.

Is it vegan?

Yes. Every product in our Pure Zinc range is vegan, and we don't test on animals.

Where is it made?
