About this pack
How to use
Swipe a thick layer onto your nose, cheekbones and the tops of your ears before you head out. Wear the bright colours and white as bold stripes. With the skin tones, smooth the edges so they blend in.
Reapply at least every 2 hours, and straight after swimming, towelling or sweating. Avoid the eye area.
For adults and children over 6 months.

White, Light and Medium Skin Tone: Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Zinc Oxide, CI 77891, Ceresin, Octocrylene, Microcrystalline Wax, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Ethylhexyl Triazone, Hydrated Silica, VP/Eicosene Copolymer, Synthetic Wax, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract. Light and Medium Skin Tone also contain iron oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499) and kaolin. UV filters: zinc oxide, octocrylene, diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate and ethylhexyl triazone.
Pink, Blue, Green and Yellow: active ingredients zinc oxide, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate (octinoxate) and diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate, plus colour pigments.

How to use it
Where it goes, and how
Zinc works best as a thick layer on the spots that burn first.

Step 1: Pick your stick
A bright colour for bold stripes, white for surf and sport, or a skin tone to blend in.

Step 2: Swipe it on thick
Swipe a solid layer down your nose, across your cheekbones and along the tops of your ears. With the skin tones, smooth the edges so they blend in.

Step 3: Top it up
Reapply at least every 2 hours, and straight after swimming, towelling or sweating.

Spread them out: one in the beach bag, one in the car, one in the kit bag. Then there’s always a stick to hand.

Can I choose the colours?
Not in a pack: each pack has a set mix of sticks. You can compare every pack above, and every stick is also sold on its own.
Is it waterproof?
No sunscreen is waterproof. It's 4 hours water resistant. Reapply straight after swimming, towelling or sweating, and at least every 2 hours.
Can kids use them?
Yes, from 6 months old. Keep babies under 6 months out of direct sun.
Are the sticks mineral only?
No. Every stick combines zinc oxide with other UV filters. The coloured sticks use octinoxate and DHHB; White, Light and Medium Skin Tone use octocrylene, DHHB and ethylhexyl triazone. If you want mineral only, choose Pure Zinc SPF 50, which uses 25% non-nano zinc oxide.
Are they reef safe?
No. The coloured sticks contain octinoxate, one of the two UV filters most often linked with coral reef concerns, so we don't call these packs reef safe. Our Pure Zinc range, which uses only non-nano zinc oxide, is our reef safe choice.
Will the colours mark my clothes?
Zinc and colour pigments can mark fabric, and the brighter shades show more. Let it set before you get changed, and pre-treat any marks before washing.
How do I take it off?
Use an oil or balm cleanser to break it down, then wash with your usual cleanser.
Where are they made?
In Australia. Sun Zapper started on the Aussie coast in 1995 and still makes its zinc sticks there.
