Zinc oxide, the key ingredient in zinc oxide sunscreen, is a naturally occurring mineral that has been used in sun protection for centuries. This versatile compound works by physically blocking and scattering UV radiation, creating a protective barrier on the skin's surface. Unlike chemical sunscreens that absorb UV rays, zinc oxide reflects and deflects them, ensuring broad-spectrum coverage against both UVA and UVB rays. Zinc oxide sunscreen provides a gentle and yet highly effective protection from the sun and is an excellent way to safeguard your skin from UV damage. Being a physical blocker, it is visible on the skin and reflects and scatters both UVA and UVB rays.
